squash and apple bake

I made up a squash and apple bake for my daughter. The first recipe I made up for her!


  • 1 organic apple
  • 2 cups chopped butternut squash
  • water
  • cinnamon (optional)

The apple and squash proportions don’t matter.


  • Preheat oven to 400 degree Fahrenheit.
  • Peel and core apple, place in shallow baking dish.
  • Add butternut squash.
  • Add water to half cover the apples and squash. Sprinkle a little cinnamon.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until the apple and squash soften.
  • Mash with a potato masher.

I stored in baby cubes and froze for storage.

Update: She liked it! It tasted mostly like apples though and she loves apples.
