Today was a nice day. We drove to Cleveland to have lunch with my younger brother and ate at Lola, a restaurant owned by Michael Symon of Iron Chef fame. The food was good although it didn’t quite blow us away but that may be because television raised our expectations way too high. The beef pirogi was fantastic. M had squash soup and a sandwish. C had their signature mac n cheese dish. I had tomato bisque with a small dollop of blue cheese and hangar steak with a chile verde salsa and finished it off with a chocolate pot au creme.

Baby’s new tricks: Baby has a few new tricks that I haven’t mentioned – some of them she started last week. She knows how to use light switches and can turn off the light switch in her nursery mid-diaper change. She is making many, many new sounds. She has learned to pound the high chair tray at my parents’ house so that she watch the cheerios dance.
